About this site
It's hard to pin down exactly what happened, but I tend to attribute it to the twin firebombs that were the sudden, widespread availability of very good AI tools, and Elon Musk buying and quickly destroying Twitter. Since about the time these two bombs exploded, there seems to have been a proliferation of independent media.
Watching sites like 404 Media, Aftermath, and Defector rise from the ashes while bloggers both old and new splash back onto the scene has been a lot of fun. It also feels like the doors to the internet were just blown wide open. I've always been a bit too long winded for social media, but now that blogs are cool again, it feels like time to revive an old project with a fresh perspective.
Starlight Underground is simply a collection of thoughts about things I'm interested in. Thanks for joining me.
